The Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) said the price of petrol has been increased to one hundred and fifty-one naira, fifty-six kobo (N151.56k) per litre. Management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile Ife has cleared the air over the rumoured plan to resume academic activities in the institution. After a series of interaction with stakeholders and the assessment of both private and public schools, the Kogi State Government has announced September 14, 2020, as the resumption date for schools in the state. The Oyo State government has approved the release of seventy-two million naira as counterpart fund for the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA)with the aim to improving the living standard of people in the rural communities. In compliance with the order given by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has paid $5.901 Million to 197 students on its scholarship scheme. Director of Corporate Affairs, NDDC, Charles Odili confirmed the payment during an interview with Vanguard. Odili revealed that the commission paid 12 PhD students from 2016 and 13 PhD students from 2019 out of the 197 beneficiaries.
