The Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) said the price of petrol has been increased to one hundred and fifty-one naira, fifty-six kobo (N151.56k) per litre.
PPMC, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC announced this in a statement issued by D.O Abalaka of the PPMC.
The agency said the statement was issued to inform the general public that a new product price adjustment has been effected on its payment platform.
According to the agency, the new price of Premium Motor Spirit takes effect from September 2, 2020.
You will recall that a few weeks before the newly announced pump price, members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers’ Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) have been directed to sell a litre of petrol at N150.
The directive followed Federal Government’s approval of N138.62 as the ex-depot price for a litre of petroleum.
Everyevery.ng reported that the N150 price modulation was announced by Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA.
