Kano state has recorded the outbreak of a yet-to-be-identified disease that has reportedly killed three persons, while 284 others have been infected. The Commissioner for Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, who confirmed the strange disease outbreak in Kano, said the infected persons had been admitted to 25 health facilities across the state. Tsanyawa explained that the strange disease was suspected to be caused by the consumption of contaminated flavour and expired instant drink products. The Central Bank of Nigeria has launched a new payment service in Banks as it asked Deposit Money Banks to commence the contactless payment service option.
