108 confirmed new cases of Coronavirus has been announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. Accordng to the new updates by the NCDC, the country now has 981 confirmed cases, 31 deaths as a result of complications from Coronavirus while 197 recoveries have also been recorded. Coronavirus is further spreading its tentacles in Nigeria with Plateau State announcing the confirmation of its first case, joining the league of other states battling the novel virus across the country. According to report, the index case is a woman whose travelling record showed that she came into Plateau State from Kano state, where she is believed to have contracted the virus before coming into Plateau despite the lockdown order. Survivors of the Coronavirus in Lagos State have now formed the #Lagoscovid-19gang and also created a WhatsApp group after surviving the virus and getting discharged from the isolation centres across the state. According to the new update from the NCDC’s twitter handle, Lagos has 70 newly confirmed cases, FCT with 7, Katsina has 3, Akwa-ibom 3, and Jigawa, Bauch and Borno with 1 new case each.
