Pandemonium and fear filled the whole community of Erijinyan Ekiti in Ekiti State after a motorcyclist also identified as an officer of the Amotekun security outfit was killed by a man identified as Kehinde Awosusi.
According to an eyewitness account, the deceased motorcyclist hit a woman with his motorcyclist within the community, and while trying to help the woman, she insisted on informing her son of the accident on the phone.
The eyewitness who preferred not to be named added that on the arrival of the woman’s son, he got angry and hit the Amotekun officer with a plank on his head.
It was reported that the officer did not make it to the hospital after losing a lot of blood and possible head injury.
Some irate youth in the community was said to have gone on rampage destroying houses and attacking passersby, meanwhile the woman and her some have been arrested by the police for further investigation.
