The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has restated its resolve to wield the big stick against tax evaders. According to the anti-graft agency, tax evasion is a financial crime that falls within the purview of the Commission. President Muhammadu Buhari has on Tuesday commissioned the 5,000 barrels per day Waltersmith Modular Refinery in Ibigwe, Imo State. Buhari during the virtual commissioning said the project is in fulfilment of his government’s Refinery Roadmap. The President further expressed delight that work is now commencing on the expansion of the capacity of the refinery to 50,000 barrels per day.
