In reaction to the second report released by the Cable Network News, CNN, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has accused the Media Organization of desperation. The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has commiserated with victims of Sasa market inferno which affected some shops in Akinyele Local Government Area of the Ibadan. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has restated its resolve to wield the big stick against tax evaders. According to the anti-graft agency, tax evasion is a financial crime that falls within the purview of the Commission. The Head, Kaduna Zonal of the EFCC, Sanusi Abdullahi disclosed on Tuesday when he led his team on a courtesy visit to the Federal Inland Revenue Service, (FIRS), Kaduna State Office. President Muhammadu Buhari has on Tuesday commissioned the 5,000 barrels per day Waltersmith Modular Refinery in Ibigwe, Imo State. Buhari during the virtual commissioning said the project is in fulfilment of his government’s Refinery Roadmap. The President further expressed delight that work is now commencing on the expansion of the capacity of the refinery to 50,000 barrels per day. The Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum has reacted to the reports making the round over an alleged fresh attack on his convoy by Boko Haram insurgents.
