President Muhammadu Buhari has honoured 110 young Nigerians with the 2018/2019 President’s NYSC Honours Award. Buhari confirmed that the Awardees would be granted automatic Employment into the Federal Civil Service, Federal Scholarship for Post-Graduate studies up to Doctoral level in any University in Nigeria and a cash reward. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, issued a stern warning to EndSARS protesters that were planning to stage a fresh protest tagged “Occupy Lekki Toll Gate”. The Federal Executive Council has approved the construction of the 1st National ICT Park to serve as a focal point for the supervision of private and public ICT hubs in Nigeria. The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, said the Federal Government had started arrangements to replace the Bank Verification Number (BVN) with the National Identity Number (NIN). Suspected herdsmen have reportedly invaded a farm settlement at Oha village in Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State and killed a farmer. The victim identified as Dele Olowoniyi was found dead with machete cuts in his neck and other parts of his body.
