A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani Kayode, has reacted to the suggestion that President Muhammadu Buhari should deploy soldiers to protect Northerners living in the Southwest region.
Speaking on the suggestion credited to Chief Paul Uningo, Fani Kayode described the statement as reckless, irresponsible and dangerous, adding that the recommendation is a call for war.
The former aviation Minister, who accused Fulani terrorists of killing people all over the Southwest noted that the suggestion was not made by a Fulani but a Tiv man.
Fani Kayode said though Southwesterners respect and love Tiv people. He opined that Uningo does not talk like a Tiv man but rather like an old slave who has lost touch with reality.

According to Fani Kayode, Northerners are not in any way posing a danger to the Southwest but Fulani terrorists and killer herdsmen who slaughter, rape, torture and kidnap people in the region most certainly are posing threats.
“If the state refuses to protect us from terror, we have no choice but to defend ourselves. That is entirely lawful. You need to worry about your safety in the SW if you are killer herdsmen or a terrorist.” Fani Kayode tweeted
He stressed that the Southwest region people would not tolerate such beasts anymore and would not allow them to slaughter innocent people.
The former Minister said the overwhelming majority of Fulanis and northerners are not terrorists, so they have nothing to fear.
