Italy midfielder Manuel Locatelli has joined Juventus on a two-year loan deal from Sassuolo with an obligation to buy in 2023. The player was a significant target for English Premier League side Arsenal and Liverpool, but the Euro 2020 winner has decided to commit his future to Juve.
The 23-year-old Italian international scored two goals in the five appearances he made in the just concluded Euro 2020, which they won. The player arrived at Juventus for medicals yesterday, and he later signed for the club after successful medicals.
The deal will become a permanent transfer in June 2023 for three years, with a fee of up to 37.5m euros (£32m) agreed. Manuel Locatelli joined Sassuolo in 2018. The former AC Milan player could make his debut with his new side on Sunday against Udinese.
