Italy and Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli has arrived at Juventus for a medical that will see him sign a deal with the Italian giant. The 23-year-old was part of the Italy squad that won Euro 2020 last month. Locatelli scored two goals in the tournament in his five appearances. He was also a late substitute in the final.
It has been reported that Locatelli will sign initially on loan before a permanent move for £30m next summer. The former AC Milan player joined Sassuolo in 2018. Some English Premier League teams were coming for the player as well. The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool all indicated an interest in the player.
Juventus missed out on the title for the first time since 2012 as they finished fourth last season and reappointed former boss Massimiliano Allegri in May after sacking Andrea Pirlo. Star player Cristiano Ronaldo recently criticised media reports which suggest he might be leaving the club soon to reunite with his former side Real Madrid.
