The Super Eagles of Nigeria have officially booked their place in the CAF World Cup qualification playoffs after delivering a commanding 4–0 victory over Benin Republic in Uyo.

In what turned out to be a thrilling and dominant performance, the Nigerian side left no room for doubt as they dismantled their West African neighbours to clinch the much needed three points and secure passage to the next stage of the qualification race.
With the win, Nigeria advances to the CAF World Cup playoffs a four-team mini-tournament set to take place in Morocco, where the continent’s remaining hopefuls will battle for a coveted spot in the FIFA intercontinental playoffs scheduled for March.
According to CAF’s format, the semi-finals will hold on November 13, followed by the final on November 16, where the winner will represent Africa in the FIFA playoffs.
The emphatic result in Uyo has reignited hope among Nigerian football fans, who have been eager to see the Super Eagles reclaim their place on the global stage after recent disappointments.
As the team turns its focus to the playoffs, expectations are high that Nigeria’s rich football legacy powered by both homegrown talent and international experience could once again carry the nation to the FIFA World Cup.
