The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State has ordered the release of former Abia State Governor, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu from prison. The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the reduction of Premium Motor Spirit, also known as Petrol to a price band of between N121.50 to N123.50 per litre. The government announced this through the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA. The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed the amendment of two state laws. The laws are the Revenue Administration Law, 2015 and Debt Management Agency Law, 2013, and were read for the third time and passed during the Friday plenary.
