The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has announced the death of two Coronavirus, COVID-19 patients in the state.
While confirming the death on his Twitter handle, the Governor on Monday, June 1 added that the state has also recorded three new COVID-19 cases as of 8:35 am on Monday.
According to the tweet, the two new cases died at the State University of Medicine, UNIMED in Ondo town.

The tweet reads “Today, we recorded three new cases and an unprecedented number of deaths from #COVID19Nigeria in Ondo State. Two of the new cases passed on at UNIMED in Ondo town this morning. The third case is currently at the IDH in Akure undergoing treatment.”
Akeredolu posted a chart which explains that Ondo state has recorded a total of 28 cases, discharged 20 and recorded four deaths with four active cases.
Meanwhile, the personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media, Bashir Ahmad has announced that the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has submitted parts of its recommendations to President Buhari.

According to Bashir, the recommendations are about the partial re-opening of some additional businesses, schools and places of worships.
He said the PTF Chairman, Boss Mustapha disclosed this after briefing the President.
