Nigerian actress, Kate Henshaw has raised her voice to demand women protection amidst the different news about how some young girls were been raped and killed in the country.
The actress, who made this known on her Twitter handle on Monday, June 1 noted that Nigerian women need to feel safe everywhere.
According to her tweet, Nigerian women must be able to go out without fear of harassment, rape or murder.
She, however, demanded an actionable punishment for anyone who violates the right of women to serve as a deterrent to others.

The tweet reads, “The #NigerianWoman needs to feel safe everywhere! The church, home etc..She needs to know she can go out and be all that she can be without fear of harassment, rape or murder. The life of the girl child is at great risk. We need actionable punishment as a strong deterrent.“
The Nollywood star had earlier tweeted to condemn rapists describing them as heartless killers and wondered how it was so easy for them to take a life they cant create.

You will recall that Nigerian singer, Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage had on Sunday created a hashtag #Wearetired to speak against the different happenings she considered frustrating for her and other Nigerians.
Also, famous actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington has for some days been very active on her social media platform speaking against senseless killings in some parts of the country as she also condemns the various report about rape.

The most recent report about rape is the case of a twelve-year-old girl, Jennifer who was raped by eleven men in Jigawa state.
Also, the death of Uwa Omozuwa, who was raped to death in a church in Benin city, Edo State.
