Browsing: Abba Kyari

On 17th April, 2020, my world came crashing down and my heart shattered into a billion pieces. Upon receiving the news of my father’s passing, I immediately felt the most excruciating pain – a pain I would not wish on my worst enemy. My biggest fear in the world had materialised.

A report by the Nation has revealed that Abba Kyari, the late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, neither consulted the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on the campaign against COVID-19 nor the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) before opting for personal treatment in Lagos.

Indeed, death is inevitable and it is no respecter of class, position, status, qualification, experience, wealth, age, gender, religion or region. As the saying goes, the condition of coming is going. Abba Kyari has come and gone.

Abba Kyari was from Borno State and Kanuri by tribe. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Warwick, England, in 1980. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law from the University of Cambridge, England and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1983.
