Robin van Persie Appointed as Coach of his Boyhood Club
Former Manchester United and Arsenal Dutch striker Robin van Persie have returned to his boyhood club Feyenoord as a coach. The 37-year-old made his final season as a player with the Dutch side in 2018-19 and will now work under manager Dick Advocaat to help the forwards. The player who once said Van Dijk was overrated left the English Premier after Sir Alex Ferguson left and following the collapse of United team in the hands of David Moyes and Luis Van Gaal.

Robin van Persie speaking on his new appointment said: “It is not an official position so it’s hard for me to give it a title.” “It’s a win-win. I’ll find out here whether I like doing this and help the staff a bit.” The former Fernanbache striker added. Robin Van Persie made a total of102 caps his country Netherland and scored 35 goals in 98 Eredivisie appearances during his two spells with Feyenoord.
Since his retirement as a player last year, he has been working in the media in England, but he has now returned to his country to help is boyhood club as the coach. For now, he will be assisting the head coach in coaching the attackers, during his stay in England he won the golden boot award couple of times because of how good he was and won the English Premier League trophy with Manchester United before leaving to Turkish Super League.
