Montpellier Indicates Interest in Liverpool Flop Loris Karius
French Ligue 1 club Montpellier have expressed an interest in signing Liverpool flop Loris Karius. The 27-year-old German terminated his loan spell at Besiktas in May when he was nearing the end of a two-year loan stint with the Turkish side. He said he still has a love for the England Champions Liverpool and he wants to come back to the club.
Montpellier in the Ligue 1 has indicated they want to sign the 27-year-old if Karius had joined Besiktas on a permanent basis, then the deal would have been worth about £6m to the Reds. Montpellier have yet to make a bid for the player, who joined Liverpool for £4.7m from Mainz in 2016.
Karius last played for Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid, he was the sole reason for the loss and after the game, his game dropped and he has not been in in the best of forms since then, he made a similar mistake even at Besiktas and was criticised by the coach where he was loaned to. The French side, however, is not looking at his mistakes and so they want to sign the goalkeeper.
