Liverpool finally beat Manchester United at their iconic Old Trafford Stadium after seven years. The Reds gave their Champions League qualification a big boost by beating their rivals Manchester United 4-2 at Old Trafford in Thursday’s Premier League fixture.

The game saw also saw Manchester United’s Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes broke Frank Lampard’s record for the most goals (28) scored by a Premier League midfielder in a single season across all competitions. It was Liverpool’s first Premier League win at Old Trafford since March 2014, while it was manager Jürgen Klopp’s first-ever away win against Manchester United. The win took Liverpool up to the fifth place-position on 60 points, just four points behind Chelsea in fourth in the league table.
Jurgen Klopp and his boys have had a challenging season with most of his key players nursing injuries. They still have four games left to play before the season finally end. After Bruno scored the first goal, Liverpool equalised the 34th minutes’ thanks to Diogo Jota. The visitors went up three minutes into the added tie in the first half.
Firmino scored his second of the day to make it 3-1, Marcus Rashford made it 3-2 in the 68th minute as he raced on to Edinson Cavani’s through pass and squeezed the ball inside the far post. Salah rounded up the scoring in the last minute of the game as the game ended 4-2 in favour of Liverpool.
