Oghenekaro Etebo Close to Joining Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray
Nigeria midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo is close to completing a move to Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray from Stoke City, the spent the second half of last season on loan at La Liga club Getafe. The 24-year-old scored one goal in 10 league appearances for the Azules. According to reports in Turkey, Galatasaray and Stoke City have reached agreement on the deal.
The Nigerian has not really had a good playing time under the management of Michael O’Neil although he is liked by the fans, he is a popular figure with the fans, but it is not same in the eyes of his manager as they manager failed to use him in all of the Stoke City’s pre-season games. The 24-year-old joined Stoke City from Portuguese Primeira Liga club CD Feirense in 2018.
He scored twice in 45 league appearances for the Potters so far, he might be leaving the club this season leaving John Obi Mikel who just joined the club and has scored already in their pre-season game.
