The chief of staff to the president is the most powerful and important person in the government, after the president.
He contracted coronavirus and because he is like a magnet to all Nigerian VIPs, he came into contact with the president, the vice president, the SGF, all heads of service, ministers including health minister and many governors.
The president tested negative against the disease but is said to be feeling sick and under observation. The vice president has gone into self quarantine. Others are yet to come up for test. One man is virtually closing down government.
The trauma on those that came in contact with him will impede them from carrying out their jobs and worse is that Nigeria has no means of caring for them. And there are no overseas treatment options for them as all countries have closed their entry points.
