Chelsea Reports More Coronavirus Cases
Following the report of Paul Pogba’s positive test result to Coronavirus, a couple of Chelsea players was reported to have been in self-isolation as a number of their players have shown symptoms of the virus and are in quarantine after returning from their summer break. It is not known if any players have tested positive for coronavirus but they have been placed under self-isolation.
They have been told that players who test positive for the Covid-19 must be self-isolated for 10 days and will only return the club if the result comes negative. Those who return a negative test but have been to a country not on the government’s travel corridor list must spend 14 days in quarantine. Chelsea are back to training and they will be playing a pre-season game against Brighton on the 14th of September.
On Thursday, Chelsea completed the signing of former Nice defender Malang Sarr just hours after they signed England left-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester for £45m. The left-back is Chelsea’s third signing of the summer after the arrivals of 27-year-old winger Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and 24-year-old striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
