Following Manchester United’s victory over Italian top side AS Roma and the perforce of Edinson Cavani Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out to decide on the future of the former Napoli and Paris Saint German striker. According to reports, he has decided to keep persuading the player to remain at Old Trafford.
Edinson Cavani was superb in their last game which ended 6-2 of which he scored two and provided one assist. He is surely one key player in the United team presently and the club can not afford to let him go as they do not have a point man currently.
Manchester United are out to make amends from last seasons errors. They were eliminated in the semi-finals last season and presently they look pretty good to reach the final with the 6-2 thrashing on Thursday evening. AS Roma had gone into half-time of the first leg ahead after Bruno Fernandes’ fine opener was cancelled out by a Lorenzo Pellegrini penalty, before former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko bundled them into the lead.
Edinson Cavani Stays!
United came back to the game as Cavani fired home a stunning leveller early in the second half, before tapping home from close range. He was fouled in the penalty box and was awarded a penalty which Fernandes converted. Paul Pogba and substitute Mason Greenwood scored one each to make it six.
After the match United boss Ole said his team want to go through to the finals, he also said his side played well in the both halves of the game but they did better in the second half. Commending on Cavani he said the player was excellent in the game and he wants him to remain in the club.
