Odion Ighalo Recieves Praises from Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United have made contact with Thiago Alcantara’s representatives over a move to Old Trafford, according to a reports Liverpool also made contact with the player’s agent and Liverpool is seen as the player’s favourites to join should he leave Bayern Munich midfielder. But Bild now claim United are looking to muscle in, with the Premier League champions yet to make an offer for the Spaniard.
Manchester United playmaker, Bruno Fernandes has showered praises on Nigeria and former Watford striker Odion Ighalo for the impact he has made so far, Odion Ighalo who joined the Old Strafford side towards the end of the season was able to register his name in the score sheet in several occassions.
The Red Devils went on an impressive 19-match unbeaten streak between the end of January and mid-July and winter arrival, Fernandes was credited with single-handedly lifting the mood at Old Trafford in the latter half of the campaign.
The Portuguese midfielder who joined from Sporting for a fee of €68million scored eight goals and seven assists in an outstanding start to his Premier League career and will no doubt be looking to improve on those impressive numbers next term. But during a chat with United’s official website, Fernandes was quick to point out that he was not alone in turning the club’s fortunes around last season, and glowingly spoke about former Nigerian skipper Odion Ighalo who joined almost thesame time he did.
According to the playmaker he said: “We have players on the bench who can do very well.” ‘And we have Odion [Ighalo] who can score, he can run, he’s a good sprinter” “I think Odion is the guy with the fourth-most goals for United last season and he signed with me in January,” he concluded.
