World best player and current Argentina captain Lionel Messi have been confirmed by Barcelona that he will not be with next season. Everyeveryng gathered that Barca said Lionel Messi will not be staying at the club “because of financial and structural obstacles”.

The club released a statement saying: “Both parties deeply regret that the wishes of the player and the club will ultimately not be fulfilled.” “Despite FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi having reached an agreement and the clear intention of both parties to sign a new contract today, this cannot happen because of financial and structural obstacles [Spanish La Liga regulations],” the club said.

The departure of Messi will mean an end to an epic soccer era in the entire La Liga football, the player joined the club at the teenage aged of 13 and has been able to contribute greatly to the club.
