The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LUTH has given birth to a baby boy from a coronavirus patient aged 37 in the hospital successfully. The Lagos State Hospital made this known in a press statement released on Tuesday which said, “A team of LUTH doctors, anaesthetists and nurses delivered another woman diagnosed with COVID-19 of a baby boy (Birth weight: 2.6kg). The Lagos state ministry of health has updated a report on the state coronavirus cases, saying that the state has discharged 33 COVID-19 patients from their Lagos state isolation centres in Onikan and Eti Osa. The ministry pointed out that of those 33 patients, there were nine females discharged and another twenty-four males, noting that all the patients discharged were Nigerians. Of the 33 patients released, 17 were from the Onikan isolation centre, and 16 of those were from the Eti-Osa(Landmark) isolation centre. The Kano State government has discharged 16 coronavirus patients after they have tested negative for the novel coronavirus twice consecutively. This was revealed in a statement released by Muhammad Garba, the state’s Commissioner for information on Thursday, bringing the number of discharged cases in the state to 22.
