There have been 10 persons tested positive for coronavirus in association with the State house in Marina. The state’s commissioner of health, Professor Akin Abayomi made this known in a series of tweets posted this Thursday afternoon.
The governor and the first lady are constantly tested for the virus and their results have always come back negative, the state’s commissioner for health also pointed this out. The state house in Marina has been the venue for the COVID-19 state briefings before now. There are presently 1,308 confirmed cases in the state, with 920 of those cases still active, 358 discharged and 30 deceased.

“I am glad to announce that #COVID19 Incident Commander Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the First Lady of Lagos Joke Sanwo-Olu have consistently tested negative to #COVID19 following three consecutive tests conducted on them recently.
“However, 10 persons associated with Lagos State House in Marina have tested positive to #COVID19. On behalf of @followlasg, I therefore implore you all to continue to embrace the #MaskUpLagos initiative and observe all precautionary measures such as physical distancing, hand washing and other personal hygiene. All directives on easing lockdown in Lagos State remain in force. It is our collective responsibility to do all we can to stop the spread of #COVID19 #ForAGreaterLagos“
The state is currently going through a phase of easing the lockdown, as the cases are still increasing in the state, with 82 reported in the state. The state residents are advised to carry out the measures given out by the health officials as they continue to ease the lockdown.
