The governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Sule has revealed that a member of the state’s house of assembly, Mr Sule Adamu has died from coronavirus. Mr Sule Adamu is the state’s house of assembly member representing Nasarawa Central. The governor made this known in a briefing with journalists on the COVID-19 pandemic in the state. The highest number of death was also recorded with 17 new deaths in the country. 34 people were also discharged. Kano State government has eased the lockdown imposed on the state by the president in his briefing on Monday. The Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, announced this relaxation of the lockdown himself today, Saturday. The cases are from five different states, and sees a further decline in cases for a third successive day. There were no new deaths reported, and 16 cases were discharged after testing negative for the virus twice. The Commissioner for Agriculture in Ekiti state has been abducted by unknown gunmen, with a councillor who was with him, killed on the crime scene. The Commissioner for information and values orientation, Muyiwa Olumilua confirmed this in a statement released on sunday. The Kano state ministry of health has announced that the state has recorded two new deaths from the novel coronavirus. This increases the total number of deaths from coronavirus in the state to three, with 74 cases still active in the state.
