While the coronavirus pandemic is still spreading in the country with reported cases daily, the Lagos state ministry of health has offered some form of hope and light by announcing that it has discharged 14 patients who previously had the virus after testing negative for the virus twice consecutively.
The ministry said of the fourteen patients, 6 were females and 8 were males. The patients came from the infectious diseases hospital (IDH) in Yaba, the LUTH and the Landmark Isolation centres. These 14 new releases now brings the number of discharged cases to 261 in the state.

The ministry said, “#COVID19Lagos Update Breaking! 14 more #COVID19Lagos patients; 6 females & 8 males, all Nigerians were today discharged from our Isolation facilities at Yaba, Onikan, LUTH & Eti-Osa (Landmark) to reunite with the society.
“The patients; 7 from Onikan, 2 from IDH, Yaba, 4 from @LUTHofficial & 1 from the Eti-Osa (LandMark)Isolation Centres have fully recovered & tested negative twice consecutively to #COVID19. With this, the number of patients successfully managed & discharged in Lagos is now 261.”
