The Commissioner for Agriculture in Ekiti state has been abducted by unknown gunmen, with a councillor who was with him, killed on the crime scene.
The Commissioner for information and values orientation, Muyiwa Olumilua confirmed this in a statement released on sunday. He said, “From initial reports, the kidnappers got shot one person in his entourage, the driver of the vehicle, a serving councillor, in the ensuing fracas.”
The abductors have also reportedly demanded a ransom of about 30 million naira, according to sources from his community, Iye-Ekiti.
