French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco beat defending champions of the Ligue 1 Paris Saint-Germain at home to record Mauricio Pochettino second lose in charge.
Paris Saint Germain was shocked at the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1 AS Monaco opened the scoring through Sofiane Diop in the first six-minute of the game. Guillermo Maripan doubled the lead with a second-half goal. He used his side foot to finish a failed clearance from Ander Herrera.
AS Monaco played well in the game and held Pochettino men as they could only grab one shot on target. It was their first game after the 4-1 demolition of Barcelona in the Champions League where Mbappe scored a hat-trick AS Monaco would have made it 3-0.

But Volland headed wide the chance he got in the six-yard box. Paris St Germain dominated the whole game but could not win the game.
AS Monaco Eyes Uefa Champions League Return
It seems Monaco is heading back to the Uefa Champions League after a long time away from Europe top league. They dropped from the Champions League after the sold Mbappe, Bernado Silva, Benjamin Mendy, and Bakayoko.
After the sold those players, they could not get a better replacement for the players, so they started dropping.
They are now looking hungry to return to the elite competition and regain their spot in the competition. Hopefully, by next season we will be seeing them in the competition.
They are in the fourth place position, two points behind Paris Saint Germain and six points behind Lille’s league leaders.
