Former Super Eagles of Nigeria international and Union Berlin striker Anthony Ujah has been struggling and battling with goal drought since coming back from China. The attacker struggled in front of goal in their last German Bundesliga game which they lost, he had a clear chnace in front of goal but he fired off target.
Anthony Ujah’s side Union Berlin suffered 4-1 to Borussia Mönchengladbach in Sunday’s Bundesliga game, Ujah made his 18th Bundesliga appearance with the club as he was introduced with just 10 minutes left to play. Anthony has scored just two goals for Union Berlin this since, he registered his last goal far back Novermber 2019 in their 2-0 home win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Anthony Ujah’s side started losing the game right from the first 17th minute of the game when Florian Neuhaus opened the scoring before Marcus Thuram doubled the lead in 41 minutes of the first half. Union Berlin looked good after the break as Sebastian Andersson initiated the come back as he gave the visitors lifeline in the 50th minutes of the game to make it 2-1.

But with Just nine minutes after Andersson’s goal, Thuram scored his second of the day to put Mönchengladbach 3-1 up and did the Justice for George Floyde before Sancho did the same in their own game which took place later that day when he scored his first hat-trick with Dortmund. And in the 81st minute Alassane Plea added the fourth goal to give the home team a comfortable 4-1 home win. Anthony Ujah’s Union Berlin are now 14th in the German Bundesliga table with 31 points, four points above the relegation play-off spot. While for Borussia Mönchengladbach they move up to third with 56 points and are 11 points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
