Manchester United star player Anthony Martial helped France drew for the fifth time in a row in all competitions as their stuttering World Cup qualifying campaign continued with an entertaining draw in Ukraine. Ukraine took the lead through Mykola Shaparenko goal in the 44th-minute of the game from 20 yards.
Anthony Martial Scores for France after a Long time Away
Manchester United striker Anthony Martial bundled in a close-range equaliser for only his second international goal and first since 2016. Moussa Diaby almost scored a winner for France but it hit the post from Karim Benzema’s pass. The World Cup defending champions are in Group D and have not had a very good result for some time now as they drew all five of their last gams.
France is however topping the group with nine points from five games while Finland maintains the second place position with five points with two games in hand. France will be hosting Finland on Tuesday and is most like Anthony Martial has secured a shirt for himself.
