Spanish La Liga side Valencia has sacked their head coach Javi Gracia after 10 months in charge of the club. The sack came less than 24 hours after their 3-2 home loss to Barcelona on Sunday. Following the loss, they have dropped to six points within the relegation zone.
Valencia Fires Javi Garcia as Head Coach
The former Watford manager Javi Garcia leaves the club with the record of winning just eight games since he was appointed as the head coach ten months ago. The club released a statement saying: “The club wants to publicly thank [Gracia] for his work and dedication during these months leading the team and wishes him the best of success for the future.”
The six-time Spanish La Liga champions are currently 14th in the league table with just four games left to play. The remaining four games will be overseen by the assistant manager Salvador Gonzalez ‘Voro’, who will lead the first team on a provisional basis.
