Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jens Petter of AC Milan both Confirmed Positive for Coronavirus
Two AC Milan players Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jens Petter Hauge have been confirmed positive for coronavirus, the two players played against Celtic on Thursday and they were both tested positive after the game with Celtic. Goalkeeper Donnarumma played the full 90 minutes at Celtic Park while substitute winger Hauge secured the 3-1 Europa League win with a late goal.
The management of AC Milan said three other members of their staff have also gone into isolation because they too tested positive for the virus. The two players did not feature in their Monday night game against Roma. AC Milan says the results followed swab tests conducted on Sunday evening and point out that further tests of players and staff carried out on Monday had produced no further positive results.
The club said about those who tested positive, they are all asymptomatic, they have immediately entered isolation in their homes and the relevant local health authorities have been informed. AC Milan is currently in Europa League Group H and will play at home to Sparta Prague on Thursday.
