The 2020 AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards) has come and gone. It was a night to remember as Nigerian celebrities and socialites turned up for the prestigious award. Some Nollywood actors got awards they deserved for the job well done in the year in review, other celebrities came, saw and conquered with their dressing. It’s an opportunity for some to prevent themselves from the pandemic coronavirus that has hit many nations of the world through their outfits.
AMVCA Award 2020
Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) is an annual accolade presented by Multichoice recognizing outstanding achievement in television and film. The 7th edition of the award which was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Lagos was star-studded and its was a night of glitz and glamour. Anchored by seasoned broadcasters, Amina Abdi Rabar and IK Osakioduwa was one of a kind especially for the fashion sense in the African version of Oscars night.
This year’s AMVCA had in presence the Big Brother Naija’s ‘Pepper Dem Gang’ crew which include winner Mercy Eke, Tacha, Seyi Awolowo, Mike, Omashola, Ike, Elozonam, Sir Dee, Esther, Frodd and past members of the house like Alex, Ceecy, Ebuka (host) and several others. Nollywood stars are not left out too as Ramsey Nouah, Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Ifu Ennanda, Bankole Welington, Nana Akudo, Adesua Etomi and so on were at their best too. Senator Dino Melaye is one of the public figures in a night that had some celebrities educating & sensitizing the public against coronavirus in through their outfits.
Top 3 Anti-Coronavirus Dressers at AMVCA 2020
Coronavirus outbreak is becoming rampant by the day but Nigerian celebrities have found a way to sensitize its populace through their dressing at the popular AMVCA. Many have debated about the best dressed (both male and female) at the event but the eye-catching dressers are those were on a coronavirus-mask-themed wears to prevent themselves (since they were in a public gathering) and educate others. The top 3 are listed below:
- Omashola (Big Brother Naija Ex-Housemate and Model): Omashola was among the top 5 at the last Big Brother Naija edition. The Warri-born model brough his drip through his anti-coronavirus themed outfit at AMVCA. Omashola wore a shiny outfit styled with skulls to make the impression on the deadly coronavirus. The dressing is completed with a nose-mask to help prevent from COVID-19. Omashola on his Instagram post made it known that his style is for sensitization against the disease.
- Ifu Ennanda (Nollywood actress): Nigerian actress also brought her five-star game with beautiful outfit. You just have to checkout the lovely combination of Ifu; a silver color nose-mask and a customized walking stick to match its top notch at the AMVCA. On her Instagram page @Ifuennanda, the Nollywood actress made it known that her dressing is for sensitization on COVID-19 with the #anticoronavirus hash tag.
- Folu Storms (Television and Radio Host): Popular OAP, Folu Storms completes the list of the anti-coronavirus dressers at the 7th edition of the AMVCA. Adorned in a skimpy dress, the radio and television presenter made sure all eyes were on her with a silver nose-mask accessory to complete her adorable outfit that also had a fashionable silver hand bag to match.
