18-year-old Billy Gilmour again bagged another Man of the Match Award in the EPL Matchday 29 game against Everton. The young lad made his Premier League derby in the EPL Matchday 29 game against Liverpool in the FA Cup. He won the Man of the Match Award in the FA Cup game against Liverpool and he was in again for the Blues on Sunday yesterday in the Chelsea and Everton game.
Billy Gilmour according to Chelsea ex-players are saying he is the next Cesc Fabrigas after they watched his excellent performance against Liverpool. They hosted Everton who has been very good of late in their Stanford Bridge. The game was an interesting one as the Blues took charge of the game from the first minute to the very end of game.
Chelsea’s young English international Mason Mount opened the scoring in the 14th minute of the game to end his 18-game goal drought. Former Barcelona man Pedro doubled the lead from Ross Barkley pass. Ross Barkley doubled his assist as he set William to get the third goal. Oliver Giroud then completed the scoring as they crushed past 4-0.
The score line is the best Frank Lampard has had in the English Premier League this season and the the worst Carlo Ancelotti since joining the club from Napoli. Chelsea used the result to seal their Champions League spot in the English Premier League table. They are three points above Manchester United and two points behind Leicester City who will be playing Aston Villa later today evening.
The result kept Everton in the 12th position with six points behind the Europa League place. Billy Gilmour so far is filling in the space of injured N’golo Kante and he is doing really good so far. Frank Lampard had his chanted “super Frank” in the stadium as he has now won his two former managers in the English Premier League.
He has won Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, and now Carlo Ancelotti. For Carlo Ancelotti it is the first time he is losing without scoring a single game since joining the Everton. He has so far played twelve games and it only shows he still have lots of work to do as the Europa league is the target.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard’s Comment on the game:
“We have injuries but that gives opportunity so we don’t want to moan, especially when Billy Gilmour plays how he plays, and Ross Barkley and Mason Mount, and the collective of the team. “It reminded me of some of the performances we have lost at home this season. Lots of good play and chances but we haven’t taken them. We can reflect on this, what we did, and it was comfortable.”
Lampard on Giroud, Pedro, Willian and Billy Gilmour:
“They are very good players. Everyone speaks about youth but we need experienced players. Oli come into the team and gets his goal. He is a great team-mate. I am really pleased there is a mix in this squad and those boys were really good today.” Billy Gilmour is blending well with the team and is a great plus to the team, he added.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti Comment on the Game:
“It’s very disappointing. This is the first time I was so sad for the performance of the team. Everything was wrong. We were not good defensively, lost a lot of duels, were not compact and did a lot of mistakes. “It is a little bit strange. We did well against Manchester United and competed against Arsenal and Manchester City. It is really strange but we have to analyse this and try to do better.”
