In a world constantly searching for the secrets to longevity and happiness, an American magazine, Pubity, recently interviewed seven elderly individuals ranging from ages 71 to 105. Each shared their most valuable life lesson for living a long and fulfilling life, offering unique perspectives drawn from decades of experience. These timeless lessons, according to the elderly participants, may just be the 7 rules for achieving a happy and long life.

Failure could be daunting, but there are ways you could bounce back from a significant defeat. I am pretty sure everyone has experienced loss at some point in their lives, and we all know that the feeling of failure could be destructive to some level. Barely making the pass mark in an examination, watching your business crash, getting fired from a job or even not being called back at that job you applied for.

We need to know that there is a lot to be learnt from failure, and failure isn’t the worst thing that could happen to you. I know that failing in whatever we do stings really bad and fills us with negative thoughts and feelings. Most times, failing makes us feel worthless and less than we are; it makes us develop self-doubt.

Before you dive into this article, I need you to know that self-solitude and loneliness are a ‘thing’. You’ll not only embrace self-solitude more than before, but you’ll also see loneliness in a different light.
