Once again, Lai Mohammed, the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, is out with another banger, not a hit single to say the least, but some controversial statements he’s been known to deliver for the past seven years.

To stop sit-at homes was the direction the South Eastern governors gave to indigenes of the South East in a recent meeting. They discussed measures to end the escalating violence and insecurity in the Southeast region by reviving the Ebubeagu security outfit before December 31.

This painful and sad occurrence is not the first of its kind in Nigeria, in fact, it’s very hard not to see an occurrence of an oil tanker explosion in a year and the recent explosion won’t be the last. It is not a bad wish to say the Onitsha oil tanker explosion which led to the inferno that caused havoc in the Southeastern city will happen again neither. It is also not a saying from a prophet of doom.
