Super Falcons Star Asisat Oshoala Makes History
Super Falcons star and captain Asisat Oshoala of Barcelona has been included in the Spanish Primera Iberdrola(SPI) Team of the Season, the young Nigerian has proven herself in the Spanish Primera Iberdola league this season. The Super Falcons star who is just 25 years old has scored a total of 20 goals in 19 league appearance in the 2019/20 season before the coronavirus pandemic outbreak the led to the shutdown of sporting activities.
The former Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies striker joined the Spanish side from China and has since played a key role as the Catalans claimed the league title for the first time in five years. Asiat Oshoala also won the Copa Catalunya and Super Women’s Cup with Barcelona Ladies during the season.
Her Barcelona team-mates; Sandra Panos, Mapi Leon, Marian Torrejon, Patri Guijarro were also included in the list. The other two are, Jenni Hermoso and Graham Hansen. The Super Falcon star won the highest goal scorer award in the last African Women Cup of Nations which the Super Falcons of Nigeria won in penalty shout out against South Africa.
