The Super Eagles of Nigeria will get a cash prize of 20 million Naira from Nigerian airline Air Peace as promised by Allen Onyema, the owner of the airline, for beating Cape Verde 2-1. The head coach of the team, Gernot Rohr commenting on his team, said his side would keep the momentum going after their Impressive start to the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
Super Eagles tops Group C After Beating Cape Verde
The West African side is currently topping Group C with six points as they have won their two first games. The first game was against the Lone Stars of Liberia, which they won 2-0, all goals scored by Kelechi Iheanacho. Despite their impressive start, Rohr insists the Super Eagles must keep winning to secure a place in Qatar.

The head coach said: “We are happy to win this game. It is not easy to come back. The goal we conceded was unfortunate. We need to continue winning and play well.” The Super Eagles will host the Central African Republic in their next game on October 5 at the Teslim Balogun, Lagos.
