The Nigerian had been operating as a makeshift central defender in the absence of the injured Jonny Evans. According to Leicester Cit boss Brenda Rodgers he said: “It’s just unfortunate – it’s come right off the bone,” said boss Brendan Rodgers. ” He also said: “I’m sure he’ll make a really good recovery and we’ll welcome him back when he comes back, but there’s no doubt he’s a miss.”
Leicester City have won both of their first two opening games and are currently sitting in the top of the English Premier League table. They will be playing their Matchday 3 game without the player and also former Manchester United defender Jonny Evans.
