According to the Spanish La Liga president Javier Tebas, he said he hopes Spain’s top flight will restart on 12th of next month. He said the coronavirus tests will mean “practically zero” risk to players during games.
It was reported earlier that five players in the La Liga division two side tested positive to coronavirus. They hope to resume the League and start testing players two days before any game, last week the discussion on the resumption of training was finalized and they all agreed to resuming training and they will be training individually or two pairs at maximum.
All games will also be played behind closed doors according Javier Tebas he said: “I’d like it [the restart date] to be 12 June.”“But we have to be careful. It will depend on many factors such as a potential rise in infections, factors which don’t depend on football but on Spanish society.
“The risk during games will be zero, or practically zero, because the players will be tested – with only a 5% possible failure rate 24 hours before.” Tebas also said not only the La Liga top side that will be resumed the Spanish second division league will restart at the same time and will be completed by 31 July.
Also Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos said: “Players and football can help the economy to work again, help get out of complicated situations again.”“Football is secondary right now, but it can serve as a distraction for the people who have been suffering.”
