West Brom Sack Slaven Bilic After 18 Months
West Brom manager Slaven Bilic has been sacked after 18 months in charge of the club. West Brom played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester City and it was like the club was going to give him another chance but it never came that way.
The Baggies are currently in the 19th place position with seven points from 13 league games. Slaven has suffered eight defeats, though his side earned a surprise 1-1 draw at Manchester City recently it was not a lifeline for him.
Slaven was not the only person to leave the club, the club’s assistant manager Dean Racunica and Danilo Butorovic also left the club. Also the first-team coach Julian Dicks has also left.
A club statement thanked Bilic and his coaching staff “for their efforts in achieving promotion last season”. The 52-year-old signed a two-year contract when he took over at The Hawthorns in June 2019 taking over from Darren Moore.
Bilic guided Albion to promotion on the final day of last season, as they finished second in the Championship. But they have won only one Premier League match this season, beating bottom club Sheffield United 1-0 on 28 November.
