Samson Siasia Begs Nigerians to help him raise N36m
Former SuperEagles head coach Samson Siasia has reportedly told newsmen that he is hopeful and remains optimistic of getting financial assistance to prosecute his case at Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS, in Lausanne, Switzerland, come
October 6, 2020.
The FIFA U20 World Cup Netherlands 2005 and Beijing 208 Olympic Games men’s football silver medal-winning coach is in a race to free himself from match-fixing allegations which were levelled against him and were given a life ban by FIFA for the act. Samsam Saisia, however, denied the allegations against him and insisted he is innocent, claiming he was innocent of the charges, opting to file an appeal against the FIFA stiff sanctions at CAS.
To facilitate a speedy hearing of his appeal Siasai was required to deposit 100,000 Swiss Francs which is about N36m before his appeal could be entertained. As it stands he is unable to raise the money, because he just paid kidnappers who adopted his mom, CAS compassionately shifted the hearing to October 10, 2019. He is now hoping the good people of Nigeria will help raise the money so he can finally clear his name from the bad record.
