Manchester City and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero have tested positive for coronavirus. The former Atletico Madrid star has only played 141 minutes across five appearances this season Manchester City.
Sergio Aguero Test Positive for Coronavirus
He is currently observing self- isolation according to the World Health Organization protocols. Sergio Aguero tested positive after coming in contact with a positive patient.
The 32-year-old took to his social media handle and said: “I had some symptoms, and I’m following doctor’s orders for recovery.” Aguero missed the past three matches as he self-isolated and is now set to be out for a longer spell.
This is the latest setback for the Manchester City strike which is a significant target for Paris St-Germain. Sergio Aguero is City’s all-time top scorer, but he has not been active this season as he has been battling knee and hamstring injury.
With all the noise about the player leaving the club, Pep Guardiola has come out saying: “Sergio is a player who can create for himself and win a game by himself, but he has not been with us for a long time.” “When we didn’t have him, we could have started complaining. But we did the opposite completely.”
“We want him back as soon as possible. But at the same time, we have to go forward, and we have done that because of the quality and skills that we have.”
