Legendary Football icon Ronaldinho and his brother who were arrested in Paraguay sometimes last month has been released but are still placed under house arrest by the govenment of Paraguay. The Former Brazil forward Ronaldinho was said have entered Paraguay with a fake international passport with his elder brother.
Ronaldinho and his brother were arrested on the 6th of last month and were charged to court after which they were both imprisoned and jailed for a month. The 2005 Ballon d’Or winner participated in a prison tournament when he was serving his jail term and helped his team won the trophy.

Both him and his brother were previously denied bail but posted $800,000 (£648,000) each and as a result they were granted bail but on the condition that they will still be under house arrest in the four-star hotel in Asuncion where they lodged before they were arrested.
the 40-years-old Brazilian and his brother Roberto Assis deny all the charges leveled against but were still jailed. Ronaldinho’s laser said their imprisonment was “arbitrary, abusive and illegal.” In allowing the pair to leave prison, Judge Gustavo Amarilla said the size of the bail paid was “significant” and would “guarantee they will not flee”. Ronaldinho had initially visited Paraguay to promote a book and a campaign for underprivileged children.
The former Barcelona forward and 2002 World Cup winner is now free alongside his brother but for the main time him and his brother will not leave the country as they are still under house arrest. Ronaldinho played for many clubs during his playing time, he played for Paris St-Germain, Barcelona and AC Milan before retiring in 2015 after a spell at Brazilian side Fluminense.
