English Premier League top side Arsenal has launched a move for Everton Brazilian top player Richarlison as Mikel Arteta plans for the future without Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Gunners head coach Arteta is understood to be driving the interest in the Brazilian, who helped beat Arsenal on Monday night.
Arsenal Joins Richarlison Race
The Spanish boss saw at close quarters how destructive Richarlison could be. The Brazilian scored one goal and had another ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee VAR in their game against Arsenal. The player’s performance has made Arteta pick interest in the player. With Arsenal standing a chance of losing both Aubameyang and Lacazette next summer, he wants to use the player as their replacement.
The Spanish outlet suggests that the summer could be the perfect time for the 24-year-old to move on. The player joined the Toffees in 2018 from Watford for an initial £35m, rising to £50m. He remains under contract until 2024, and Arsenal would have to pay big to get the former Fluminese man to The Emirates. Arsenal is not the one club looking for the player as both Ligue 1 top side Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are all looking to sign him.
