Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has finally opened up on Paul Pogba, the German said he will continue to play the former Juventus star player despite him refusing to sign a new contract with the club. The France midfielder is only motivated by a transfer away from the club as it stands now but the manager is not bothered by that.
Ralf Rangnick Says he will Play Paul Pogba Despite Transfer Rumours
Paul Pogba returned to training on Monday after injuring his thigh in November. The 28-year-old’s contract at Old Trafford runs out in the summer and he has been linked with a move to French Ligue 1 top side Paris St-Germain. Rangnick says Pogba wants to show fans “what kind of player he can be”.

German Rangnick also said: “Even if it’s for only showing up for a new contract elsewhere, I mean, he will be highly motivated to do that. Why should I then not play him?” Rangnick hopes Paul Pogba will be ready to play in the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Middlesbrough on 4 February and said he does not know what stage the Frenchman’s contract talks are at.
The manager said he and Paul have the same goal, he said by the time his contract as a manager with United is over he will leave the same thing as Pogba so they both have the same goal and ambition which is to be as successful as they can possibly be in the next three or four months.
