France and former Manchester United playmaker Paul Pogba have come out to say he wants to show the Premier League club that they made a mistake of letting him go. The player said the club failed to produce a deal that could persuade him to remain in the club.
Pogba wants to Prove United Wrong
The 29-year-old France midfielder was reportedly offered £300,000 a week to remain with the Premier League club. But according to reports the player in a new documentary said the club was rather “bluffing” that they did not offer him any deal. He is expected to rejoin Juventus when he leaves Old Trafford following his contract’s expiry this month.
In the documentary, which is to be released on Friday, Pogba discusses his future with his former agent Mino Raiola, who died following a long illness in April. In footage seen by the PA news agency, Paul Pogba said: “My thought process is to show Manchester that they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract, and to show other clubs that Manchester had made a mistake in not offering me a contract.”
It was earlier reported that the France international was offered a more lucrative offer than his previous deal but the player has come out to debunk the news as he said: “How can you tell a player you want him and offer him nothing? Never seen that.”
Mino Raiola Filmed Advising Paul Pogba
His former agent Mino Raiola was filmed advising him before his death saying: “We must try to make you feel as good as when you are with the French national team.”
“You’re different from them. Do you understand? You’re another Pogba with the Manchester United team. It’s not normal.”
The agent told him that he has double personalities, he is a different player when he plays for his country and another when he plays for United, he said in Manchester United it looks like something is blocking him which is not good.
