The family of celebrity football agent Mino Raiola has announced the passing of one of the world’s most-powerful representatives.
The death of Mino Raiola, representing high profile talents in Paul Pogba and Erling Haaland, was confirmed on Saturday.
Italian media has initially reported that the 54-year-old has passed, only for his agency, the head of San Raffaele’s intensive care department and eventually the man himself to deny the rumour.
The statement released by his family on his verified Twitter handle partly read, “In infinite sorrow, we share the passing of the most caring and amazing Football Agent that ever was.
“Mino fought to the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players. As usual, Mino made us proud and never realised it.”
Mino Raiola had been suffering from an undisclosed illness at Milan’s San Raffaele Hospital, where he had previously survived scares.
